Barrage 2013

On Saturday I made the trip to the HAWKS annual one-day mini con, Barrage.  I know the HAWKS from games at the HMGS cons (as well as knowing Buck Surdu for a long time), so was expecting a quality event and I weas not disappointed.  It was a great time and well worth the two hour drive over and back.

Historicon 2009 – Games Played

Historicon 2009 Photos

Historicon 2009 has come and gone and I had a really great time this year.   Fellow Knoxville gamer Andy and I rode up on Wednesday.  After making the 8-9 hour drive by myself last year I definitely appreciated having someone else along.  I ran three games (two Check Your 6! and one Romans Seas) and played in six or seven games.  I’ll detail those in upcoming posts, but thought I’d share some of my random photos and musings to get started.

Historicon 2008

In addition to running my air and naval games at Historicon this year, I was able to get into a number of fun games, met up with some far-flung buddies, and of course made the pilgrimage to the dealer’s room.

I was able to make it to Historicon this year, my first trip there in about 8 years. As usual the event was a wonderland for historical minis with over 700 events. I had a great time: ran two well received games (Showdown Over Singapore and Of Mules and Men), got into some great games and got to catch up with a number of old gaming buddies from Texas and Seattle.
